Lidja Schiavo, policy expert in Reporting and Transparency Unit, is primarily involved in the topics of non-performing loans and of supervisory reporting on financial information (Finrep). She is also taking responsibilities on Pillar 3 disclosures, including topics like ESG risks and sustainability disclosures. Prior to this, Ms Lidja Schiavo worked on the EBA Guidelines on Covid-19-related reporting and disclosure and on institutions’ management information system (MIS) for the purpose of valuation in the event of resolution, which is part of the EBA Valuation Handbook for purposes of resolution.
Before joining the EBA in December 2018, Ms. Schiavo worked in the Bank of Italy for 10 years, as policy expert in accounting and financial reporting in the Department of Banking and Financial Supervision. Previously, she worked for an audit firm, Ernst & Young as Staff and then Senior. Lidja Schiavo holds a master’s degree in economics at the Rome University “La Sapienza
