 SHOWCASE SESSION

From Ideas to Impact — Tailored Regional Solutions
21 May 2026, Thursday
11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Auditorium Hall 3

Ambitious transport plans fill strategy documents, but most stall before implementation. What separates bold visions from functioning systems?

This session will showcase practical solutions in ADB’s developing member countries for translating national priorities to action on the ground, promoting sustainable, equitable, and resilient transport. Participants will gain practical insights into replication, technical adaptation pathways, and governance approaches that accelerate sustainable and inclusive transport outcomes across diverse contexts.

Drawing on examples and experiences from countries across Asia and the Pacific, the session will demonstrate how transport sector priorities have been translated into actionable projects and programs. By highlighting successful implementation approaches and enabling conditions, the session will provide models for other countries seeking to advance their own transport agendas.

By the end of the session, participants will:

  1. Gain practical knowledge of replication and technical adaptation pathways.
  2. Understand governance approaches that accelerate sustainable transport outcomes.
  3. Identify examples of action on the ground in Asia and the Pacific.
