PTF 2026: The agenda is taking shape. Here’s what’s in store

24 April 2026

APTF Week at a Glance

Here’s a quick look at the week ahead. Sessions are currently in the final stages of confirmation, so please check the APTF 2026 website for the latest information on the forum schedule and session topics.

Four days of high-level dialogue, technical sessions, and hands-on training — see what’s planned for the APTF 2026 in Manila from 19-22 May.  The agenda for APTF 2026 has been coming together, and we wanted to share a bird’s-eye view of what to expect.

But first, here’s the ADB Transport Sector Office’s Jamie Leather and Faela Sufa to tell you why the Forum matters right now:

This year’s Forum is built around a single idea: that the gap between good transport policy and real results on the ground can be closed, and that closing it starts with the right conversations, the right tools, and the right people in the room.

Day 1
19 May 2026
Tuesday
Opening Sessions + High Level Plenaries
Featuring high-level dialogues on the Decade of Sustainable Transport and plenaries on financing, delivery, and the future of transport in the region.

Day 2
20 May 2026
Wednesday

Subsector Deep Dives + Closing Plenary
With parallel sessions on roads, railways, maritime and logistics, urban transport, and road safety— focused on what’s working and what’s needed.

Day 3 & 4
21 & 22 May 2026 Thursday & Friday

Diving deeper via training, focus, and showcase sessions
Featuring training and focus sessions on topics from project preparation to climate resilience.

Each session at APTF 2026 is built around what works in practice, not around declarations or frameworks in the abstract. The discussions will focus on financing approaches that move projects forward, institutional reforms that sustain results, and the tools and partnerships that help countries deliver.

Whether you work in policy, planning, project preparation, or operations, this Forum is designed to give you something you can take back and use.

Save the Date: Join Us at the Asia and the Pacific Transport Forum 2026 (18-22 May 2022)

4 March 2026

Join ministers, transport leaders, and practitioners in Manila to share practical lessons on planning, financing, and delivering transport projects.

We are pleased to announce that the Asia and the Pacific Transport Forum 2026 will take place on 19–22 May 2026 at the ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines

Convened every two years, the Forum serves as ADB’s flagship transport sector platform, bringing together senior transport leaders, practitioners, the private sector, and development partners from across the region for a week of policy dialogue, technical exchange, capacity development, and peer learning.

With the theme, “From Priorities to Action”, this year's Forum takes place as countries begin implementing the United Nations Decade of Sustainable Transport (2026–2035). Drawing on ADB’s operational experience, discussions will highlight how finance, knowledge, and partnerships can support country-led transport priorities and strengthen implementation and delivery.

The program will feature plenary discussions, technical sessions, training sessions, and solution showcases focused on practical delivery challenges. Participants will share lessons from planning, financing, and implementing transport investments, and explore approaches that support effective project delivery and sustained sector reform across Asia and the Pacific.

Further programme updates will be shared via the official Forum website (https://transportforum2026.adb.org) in the coming weeks. Be sure to visit the website and follow @ADBTransportto ensure you get the latest information about the forum.
