 FOCUS SESSION

Data-to-Deal— Partnerships for Catalyzing Transport Decarbonization Finance
21 May 2026, Thursday
9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Auditorium Hall 3

The Asian Development Bank (ADB), the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), and its funded Climate Compatible Growth Programme (CCG) are partnering to scale climate-aligned transport investments across Asia and the Pacific. The partnership makes use of the Data-to-Deal (D2D) approach, which helps translate high-quality data and modelling into actionable policies and investment plans for implementing sustainable, low carbon transport.

This session will address the critical need for data-informed policy-making and investment planning for low carbon transport development across the region. The D2D methodology will support coordination and identification of synergies among development financiers.

The session will present a new Coordination Mechanism for Scaling Sustainable Transport Investment in Asia and the Pacific, and demonstrate an interactive tool on International Financial Institution (IFI) financing.

By the end of the session, participants will:

  1. Understand the D2D approach to accelerate investment in low carbon transport.
  2. Recognize the need for a coordination mechanism among financiers of sustainable transport initiatives.
  3. Explore opportunities for developing member countries in turning data and modelling into actionable low carbon transport policies and investment plans.
