Dear colleagues,

ADB's
Asia and the Pacific Transport Forum will feature five days of webinars on key transport development topics. We're pleased to share the program for the event, with session summaries. We will continue to update this program as details change and speakers are fully confirmed.

Starting on Monday, 24 August, the Forum will feature discussions on transport after the pandemic. In our opening high level panel session "Transport in Developing Asia’s New Normal," some of the region's leading thinkers will weigh in on the necessary adaptions for transport to meet the challenges of today and the near future.

But issues that were on the forefront of transport development did not disappear because of the pandemic. Issues such as the maintenance of major transport infrastructure such as Asia's vast road networks will also be tackled in the session "Sustaining Road Infrastructure Quality in Asia and the Pacific: Challenges and Opportunities" on Tuesday, 25 August. Similarly, but with the pandemic's effects looming large, the session "Taking-off During the COVID Storm: Challenges in Re-opening International Aviation in the Asia Pacific Region" on Thursday, 27 August will focus on the status of Asian air travel, and the options for recovery. These are just some of the sessions which will feature during the
Asia and the Pacific Transport Forum 2020.

Stay tuned to this newsletter, as we will go further in-depth on these sessions and their speakers in the coming weeks.
