 TRAINING SESSION

Electric Mobility - Transforming Public Transport Management
22 May 2026, Friday
11:00 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.
Auditorium Hall 3

This session will provide insights into how e-mobility deployment can help transform the public transport sector by factoring clean technology, improving public transport service delivery, supporting private sector ecosystems, inclusivity, and just transition.

The session will provide an overview of the latest innovative financing approaches such as results-based lending under the GCF-funded and ADB-managed E-Mobility program, and practical case studies on e-bus deployment under various ADB-financed initiatives. It will also highlight how gender inclusivity, just transition principles, and private sector participation can be integrated into electric transport initiatives. Through expert presentations and an interactive panel discussion, participants will gain practical insights into policy design, financing mechanisms, implementation strategies, and key considerations for scaling up e-mobility solutions at the national level.

By the end of the session, participants will have learned:

  1. How e-mobility solutions can be applied in real-world transport contexts.
  2. The social, environmental, and economic benefits of e-mobility deployment.
  3. Practical approaches for scaling up electric transport solutions, including private sector participation through public-private partnership (PPP).
