Yeonji Kim is Communications Officer at the Independent Evaluation Unit of the Green Climate Fund. She leads the IEU’s communications and uptake workstream, tasked with developing the narrative and key message for the IEU’s evaluations of the GCF’s policies and investments and supporting a wider dissemination and increased uptake of the evaluation findings and recommendations. Prior to working at the IEU, Yeonji worked as associate climate finance officer at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat, supporting the intergovernmental climate finance negotiations and policy-making processes. In addition to supporting the UNFCCC conferences and climate negotiations, she provided policy, governance, and substantive support to two constituted bodies under UNFCCC: namely, the Standing Committee on Finance and the Paris Committee on Capacity-building (PCCB). She holds a Master’s in Public Policy from Duke University, USA and a BA in International Development Studies from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), USA.
