Dr. Sreeja Jaiswal is a Senior Economist at MS Swaminathan Research Foundation, Chennai where she supports and manages the climate change program area. Her research interests include equity and justice in climate policy, climate finance, applied microeconomics and impact evaluation of environment policies. Previously, she was Project Supervisor for the project “Equity and CBDR in achieving the Paris Agreement Goals: Implications for India”, where she supervised the preparation of research and policy papers for India’s Third National Communication to the UNFCCC. She was a Co-Investigator in the 3ie funded project titled “Socioeconomic and environmental impact of the Konkan Railway” that made an important contribution in understanding the implications of transport infrastructure for labour market outcomes and towards sustainable infrastructure planning in ecologically sensitive regions. She has previously worked as Assistant Professor (on contract) at the Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Studies, TISS, Mumbai. She has a Ph.D in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai (TISS).
