Roberto La Rovere is an evaluation professional with passion in global development, environment, sustainability, climate, and research for development and policy. Over two decades on assessments, evaluation, M&E at CGIAR centers in Syria, Africa, and Mexico, at UNDP’s Evaluation Office, and more recently at the Green Climate Fund in climate finance and since 2020 senior evaluation consultant at IFAD, FAO, GEF/World Bank. His research interests made him publish about one hundred papers, half of which peer reviewed. Has Ph.D. and M.Sc from Bologna University, M.Sc. in Development Economics from Wageningen University and training from Yale, UNITAR, IPDET, and Dale Carnegie, among others. His work and living experience cover several countries in Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Mediterranean and recently Korea and East Asia. Is fluent in English, Spanish, French and speaks colloquial Arabic.
