Patricia Rogers is the founder of Better Evaluation which provides a free, online knowledge platform about evaluation methods, processes and approaches.  She has worked in evaluation for more than 30 years with national and sub-national governments, UN agencies, NGOs, bilateral development agencies and multilateral development banks.  Her work is driven by the promise of the benefits of useful evaluation for improving results for people and the planet - and by concerns about the risks in terms of bad decisions and incentives when evaluation is done badly.  She completed a PhD in evaluating approaches to program evaluation at the University of Melbourne, and was formerly Professor of Public Sector Evaluation at RMIT University (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology), Australia.  She is now Visiting Professor at the University of Witswatersrand, South Africa.
