Karen Rot-Münstermann is currently Acting Evaluator General for the Independent Evaluation Development Department of the African Development Bank.

Before joining the Bank in 2009, Karen was a Senior Policy Advisor at the Dutch Ministry of Finance (Treasury, Foreign Financial Relations Department). She joined the Independent Evaluation Development Department of the African Development Bank in June 2014, prior to which she worked in the Bank’s Resource Mobilization Department where she was responsible for the three-yearly replenishment process of the African Development Fund and the allocation of the Fund’s resources to African countries. Karen served as Acting Director for the Independent Evaluation Development Department, from September 2018 to August 2019.

Karen holds a Master of Arts in Political Science, University of Leiden, the Netherlands. She also holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.
