Kabir Hashim is an Economist and a Politician who has been a Member of Parliament in Sri Lanka for 25 years. He has served in many committees in Parliament. He spearheaded the GPFE and became its founder Chair, a position he holds currently too. He was instrumental in bringing Parliamentarians to evaluation fora and bridging the divide that existed between professional evaluation communities and politicians. Today as a result, the GPFE is represented in many Parliaments globally and growing. Kabir Hashim has also been a senior cabinet minister in the last Government in Sri Lanka. He is currently in Parliament and represents the main opposition.
