Hasithi Samarasinghe is currently working as a research assistant at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies, Sri Lanka in the field of Agriculture and Human Nutrition. She is the brand ambassador and a project consultant for Ashinsa; a non-governmental organization working for the empowerment of children and youth with disabilities and closely working with several other INGOs as well. She is an independent social researcher and a YEE focusing on agricultural value chains, environment, rural livelihoods, and gender. She has worked on social research and evaluation projects in academia, NGOs, the public sector, and the private sector. Currently, she is a Co-Leader for EvalYouth Sri Lanka.
