Eva Cassel is the Director for Sweden, Iceland and Estonia on the Board of the EBRD. She is also the Vice Chair of the Board’s Audit Committee. Prior to EBRD, Ms Cassel was Head of Guarantee and Financing Department at the Swedish National Debt Office with responsibility for Guarantee and Loan facilities. Ms Cassel held a seconded position as a National Expert in the European Commission. She was a member of the Export Credits team involved in negotiations of financing rules for projects in Renewable Energy, Water sector and Climate Change Mitigation. Also, serving as a Board Member for SADEV, the Swedish Agency for Development Evaluation. In the 90’s Ms Cassel was Regional Manager with responsibility for sub-Saharan Africa and Asia at EKN and worked as an Economist for FAO based in Benin. Eva Cassel holds an MSc in Economics, University of Stockholm.
