Aniket Navalkar
PhD Candidate
Tata Institute of Social Sciences

Aniket Navalkar is a Ph.D. research scholar at the Centre for Climate and Sustainability Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. I have done my MSc degree from TISS Mumbai in Habitat Studies. My Ph.D. work is related to geospatial techniques in infrastructure and ecosystems resilience. My research interests include sustainability studies, impact assessment, attribution studies, remote sensing, man-animal conflicts, and the philosophy of science. My engagement with the 3iE funded project in TISS helped me develop insights into how remotely sensed data can be used for change detection over a large geography, and how this data can be used in quasi-experimental setups for impact evaluation.
