The Southeast Asia Development Symposium is being launched to help crystallize thinking on critical development issues, and to support countries in Southeast Asia in successfully making the transition to becoming high-income, knowledge-based, and sustainable economies. This annual event will serve as a platform for countries to share insights, innovations, and experience on areas of practical policy relevance. As the world grapples with COVID-19, this year’s SEADS is focused on how digital technology can play an integral part of countries’ longer-term economic recovery as countries continue to grapple with the “new normal”.
Southeast Asia Development Solutions (SEADS) Knowledge and Innovation Platform
In tandem with the launch of the symposium, a new knowledge and innovation platform, “Southeast Asia Development Solutions” is being launched. The SEADS platform will provide a steady stream of insights on new technologies, innovations, and best practices that can help countries address pressing challenges. The SEADS platform will also facilitate matchmaking and leveraging engagements, support knowledge sharing, and provide capacity-building opportunities.
