The Urban and Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Community of Practice (CoP) aims to share knowledge and resources on innovative water resource management and solutions for sanitation services and wastewater management, including inclusive sanitation tools; sewered, non-sewered, and on-site sanitation; circular economy; water reuse; and resource recovery. The CoP also focuses on capacity building for local communities and climate resilient and adaptive solutions.
The Integrated Flood Management (IFM) Community of Practice (CoP) is a combined initiative between the Urban Sector Group and the Agriculture and Natural Resources Sector Group. The CoP aims to provide easy-to-access resources and advice for staff working on flood-related projects.
The Municipal Finance and Governance Community of Practice aims to strengthen ADB's capacity to offer transformative, sustainable, and innovative financing solutions from internal and external sources that will help unlock resources required to address infrastructure deficits and improve governance systems in cities across developing member countries.
To enable ADB to meet the increasing client demands for holistic, integrated, and innovative housing solutions in the housing subsector, the Inclusive Housing Community of Practice aims to support the internal development and sharing of knowledge on housing and strengthen the peer review process to improve the design of ADB's projects on affordable and sustainable housing.
The Solid Waste Management Community of Practice aims to support ADB's efforts to improve its staff capacity to develop, design and implement comprehensive solid waste management solutions and to help developing member countries achieve environmental sustainability and enhance the quality of life of their citizens.
Aligning with efforts to foster stronger internal coordination and discussion, the Urban and Regional Planning Community of Practice aims to enable ADB to better engage with and support developing member countries in achieving sustainable, green, and inclusive urban and regional development guided by integrated urban development plans.
The Tourism Community of Practice explores how ADB can better respond to Asia and the Pacific’s growing demand for sustainable tourism solutions. The Tourism CoP aims to generate knowledge, upgrade staff skills through training and knowledge-sharing programs, and support the peer review process for projects related to the tourism subsector.
