Most disasters are water-related and climate change is increasing their frequency and severity. Floods, landslides, storms, heat waves, wildfires, extreme cold, droughts and waterborne disease outbreaks are all becoming more frequent and more intense. These lead to loss of lives and livelihoods, damage to infrastructure, as well as negatively affect the economy.
This webinar will discuss the importance of tools and technologies as adaptation solutions in managing water-related hazards. Invited speakers from private companies will present examples of emerging and innovative solutions for increased water sector resilience.
