Digital Agriculture - Three Waves of Innovation
The Digital Agriculture - Three Waves of Innovation webinar examined three waves of digital agriculture innovations, starting with Japan and Korea, moving to China and India, and then into the ASEAN region.

ADB, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Grow Asia, and DFAT Australia organized this joint event to discuss how digital technologies are reshaping agriculture in the region; and transforming rural economies and food systems into becoming more inclusive, productive, resilient, and sustainable.
How are Farmers Using Digital Services in Low- and Middle-Income Countries?
Digital technologies are transforming farming. The goal of the Agriculture in the Digital Age scoping review is to capture, classify, and annotate—to the fullest degree possible—the research on digital interventions in agriculture, using peer-reviewed studies and other carefully selected sources, in order to help funding organizations determine priorities for further programming and research based on gaps in the evidence.
India’s Farm Laws Are a Global Problem
The Indian government should repeal its new farm laws and, through a careful deliberative process, craft legislation that stands the test of reason and can benefit poor farmers and consumers most of all.

The workshop explored ongoing initiatives, current and emerging trends, policy imperatives, and future directions in this area. It provided a platform to share learning from past success and failures and to exchange ideas on how to develop, disseminate and deliver appropriate knowledge and technology to farmers to build a knowledge-intensive agriculture sector.
Rice Yield Estimation for Individual Rice Plots: What We Can Do and Observe Under Lockdowns and In-between
The Rural Development and Food Security (Agriculture) Thematic Group, Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department, ADB; Cambodia Resident Mission, ADB; and the government of Cambodia shared the data collection methodology, results and their potential use, and other insights from the crop survey carried out in 2020 to support the Rice Sector Development Program (SDP) project in Cambodia.
Rikolto: Sustainable Production, Inclusive and Enabling Environments Towards Food System Transformation and Resilience
This ADB Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department (SDCC) and East Asia Department (EARD) joint brown bag seminar introduced Rikolto’s approach towards sustainable food systems and explore potential areas and pathways of collaboration with ADB.

The Dialogue highlighted concrete solutions and actions to mobilize financing of nature-positive solutions to promote safe food, nutritious diets, and resilient food systems, including innovative knowledge sharing and learning approaches, and natural capital financing.
