Technology Profile

Veragon is a member of the United Nations (UN) Global Compact and has been supporting Sustainable Development Goals since 2011 when the first units were used by the UN World Food Program to support disaster relief efforts in Philippines during the Haiyan Disaster. Since then Veragon has focused on providing sustainable water solutions producing mineralized drinking water from air to communities where infrastructure is hard to come by for reasons of location and cost.

Veragon's video shows an example of how this has worked in practice in Indonesia in the remote island community of Morotai where drinking water is often supplied in single use plastics due to difficulties in providing water. Veragon engaged with the community and developed a model of community responsibility to encourage the replacement of plastics and financial contribution to the community from the sales of mineralized drinking water.
