We are inviting companies, technology providers, vendors, and institutions with proven smart and innovative water solutions to join our e-Marketplace on 15-19 March 2021.

The e-Marketplace aims to promote innovative and integrated smart water technology solutions, which can help rural towns and villages to benefit from the tremendous opportunities arising from smart technologies. There will be virtual exhibitions of selected technologies as well as a series of interactive sessions where chosen exhibitors will have a chance to pitch their technology and connect with event participants.

Scope
The scope of the exhibited solutions will not be restrictive and revolve around the smart water technologies in the following themes: 1) water supply services in rural areas; 2) bulk water transmission for cities and rural areas; 3) low carbon climate resilient water services; and 4) inclusive and participatory water services management. Interested parties are requested to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOIs).

We are looking to feature technical solutions that ensure safe, sustainable, smart, inclusive, and resilient water supply services. Some examples include:

  • Smart meters, level and pressure gauges, vibration sensors, and other IOT sensors to monitor water quantity, quality and infrastructure assets 
  • Smart pumps, valves, filters, dosing pumps, and other smart devices using data to control, regulate water handling, and maintain equipment, pipelines etc.
  • GIS, pipeline tracking systems, leakage management, asset mapping
  • SCADA systems, web and mobile controlled data acquisition, cloud services, management Information systems, data warehouses 
  • Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematical Modelling Software, and other data analytics solutions for smart water management
  • Customer Information System, grievance systems, domestic meter reading, mobile network services 
  • Use of renewable energies, energy efficient and low carbon smart water technologies
  • Climate change and disasters resilient water management solutions including Flood Forecast and Early Warning Systems
  • Inclusive human resource management, institutional capacity strengthening
  • Awareness raising, community participation and community-led approach, gender equality, green job creations related to water technologies and services

Criteria and Eligibility
ADB ensures an equal and fair opportunity to all applicants. The submitted EOIs will be evaluated by an ADB Technical Committee based on:

  • relevance of smart water technologies to safe, sustainable, smart, resilient, and inclusive water supply in rural Asia and the Pacific;
  • innovativeness and value addition; and 
  • operational feasibility and scalability in the rural development context.

The following are eligible to send in their EOIs and be considered for the virtual exhibition and interactive sessions:

  • Companies, vendors, public or private institutions which have credibility in the market (e.g., registered companies)
  • Small or large companies, vendors, public or private institutions which have relevant smart water management products or services 
  • Companies, vendors, public or private institutions which are willing to work with ADB’s developing member countries (DMCs) to ensure safe, sustainable, smart, inclusive, and resilient water supply services and management
  • Companies, vendors, public or private institutions which have already been selected or awarded by relevant ADB events

Send in your EOI on or before 28 February 2021, 11: 59 p.m. (Manila time). Selected e-marketplace exhibitors will be informed of the results on or before 5 March 2021.
