Development Bank
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is committed to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific, while sustaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty. Established in 1966, it is owned by 68 members —49 from the region. Its main instruments for helping its developing member countries are policy dialogue, loans, equity investments, guarantees, grants, and technical assistance.
The Economic Research and Development Impact Department of ADB undertakes policy research to generate knowledge on key development issues of critical importance to the region; advise on strategic issues that contribute to ADB’s performance; and support ADB's lending operations, policy dialogue with DMCs, and capacity building activities.

The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) is the Tokyo-based think tank of the Asian Development Bank. ADBI provides demand-driven policy research, capacity building and training, and outreach to help developing countries in Asia and the Pacific practically address sustainability challenges, accelerate socioeconomic change, and realize more robust, inclusive, and sustainable growth.
Seoul National University Institute of Economic Research
The Seoul National University Institute of Economic Research has been engaged in continuous theoretical research and policy development on economic issues since February 1961, when its predecessor, the Korea Economic Research Institute, was established to contribute to the stability and development of the Korean economy.
