5. Payments on the ground during your stay in Bangkok
The following items will be covered by the organizers during the workshop:
6. Quick facts for travelling
7. Internet
Access to internet is complimentary at the hotel and at the venue.
8. Shuttle between the airport and your hotel
By Taxi:
Most likely you will find taxis lined up in front both of the Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) and the Don Mueang International Airport (DMK). Always make sure to follow the signs to “Public Taxi”. Here you should insist on using a metered rate, which will add up to about 250-300THB for the complete transfer.
By private limousine:
However, you can always pre-book a private taxi service by mail by sending a message to booking@splimousine.com. This company is used by the GIZ office in Thailand. The transfer will cost you maximum 950 THB one way (approx. 26 EUR).
In the case of taking a private taxi service without pre-booking, make sure you arrange the transport fare previous to departing with the car, and do not agree to more than 900THB.
The taxi drive from Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) should take about 40 minutes depending on traffic. The drive from Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) should be about 45 minutes.
To avoid confusions, clearly state the hotel name and the address to the driver prior to departure and prior to agreeing upon a price.
9. Transfer between Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn and KX Center
The transfer from the Eastin hotel to the KX Center will be done by public transport and takes approximately 20 minutes. The Silom Line departs directly next to the hotel. The stop is called “Surasak”. Take the Silom Line in the direction of “Bang Wa” and exit at the 4th stop “Wongwian Yai”. The cost for the ride is 28 THB, the tickets can be purchased at any Ticket Issuing Machine (TIM), Integrated Ticketing Machine (ITM) and Ticket Vending Machine (TVM).
