Aumsat provides precision-driven, satellite-based, AI-enabled groundwater hydoanalytics for locating, predicting, and forecasting groundwater resources. Unlike conventional methods like manual scouting, acoustics, resistivity, and transient electromagnetics used in groundwater exploration, our satellite based hydrological analytics can help detect groundwater zones at a high rate of precision without physically being present on the field.  

The novelty of the solution lies in the use of radar imagery for groundwater exploration. Satellite-based Synthetic aperture radar can penetrate into 60m of dry soil and detect groundwater fissures and cavities containing groundwater. Our technology combines all the various aspects of atmosphere, land and subsurface to detect the best spot for detecting groundwater. Additionally, our analytics include interactive maps, user friendly, digitally deliverable remotely accessible analytics highlighting groundwater flow, bio-geobotanical aspects, etc.

The resulting hydrological information enables evidence-based decisions about water. Policies, planning, adaptive management, and engineering decisions need reliable information about the variability of water quantity and water quality over time and in space. Without accurate information, it is possible to make wrong assumptions about the quality and/or the quantity of water. This will have an impact on water monitoring, which is an essential public service. Given the high cost of hydrological ignorance, a sustainable supply of relevant, reliable, and trustworthy integrated groundwater management is necessary.
