About Aquashares Thirsty Asian countries fear an escalating crisis of urban water scarcity. In response, AquaShares’ unique solution empowers your city to reduce systemic waste, lower marginal costs of service, and improve customer satisfaction. How? We:
Why can't cities do this on their own, without AquaShares? Many lack structured incentives, diagnostic tools, skilled labor, and financial capacity to do so. In America, Africa, and Asia, AquaShares and its partners have demonstrated that a voluntary approach can address systemic waste in an equitable and efficient way that builds urban resilience. Our Solutions One attractive element of the AquaShares solution is that it helps cities afford to adopt and benefit from Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). Smart meters save precious water, time, energy, labor, and vehicle fuel emissions. AMI also empowers the city to find and fix leaks on both sides of the meter. Our Water Savings Purchase Agreement raises and brings in outside capital to fund the multiple assets, services and benefits of AquaShares' solution. In return, each water utility simply agrees to buy back the realized water savings that AquaShares generates, at a fraction (70-85%) of its marginal cost of service. By saving water, at a lower cost, the city can then defer the need to raise funds for more expensive and disruptive infrastructure projects. The result: less spending on new supplies, lower systemic waste, reduced demand, satisfied customers, and improved financial health. |
