INFORMATION NOTE

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) welcomes you to the 5th Asia Finance Forum. The following information provides guidance prior to your arrival and during the forum.

Entry criteria and Covid-19 Guidance

  • Register at https://etravel.gov.ph/ within 72 hours prior to your arrival or departure in the Philippines.
  • International travelers entering the Philippines are NO longer required to show Proof of Vaccination or a negative RT-PCR / Professional Antigen Test Kit COVID-19 test result. We do still encourage those who have vaccination cards to bring them, in case needed.
  • Facemasks are generally not required in the Philippines. But please bring four or five pieces in case they are needed during your stay.
  • Medical insurance for COVID-19 treatment is not mandatory for international travelers but is highly recommended.

Visa and Travel Arrangements

  • Visa to enter the Philippines, if required, is arranged by traveler.
  • Nationals from this list are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a period of stay of thirty (30) days or less (visa-on-arrival). Guidelines on the Entry of Temporary Visitors to the Philippines.
  • Participants in need of entry visa should apply to the Embassy of the Philippines in their respective countries. It is advised that you check the requirements for visa application with the embassy.
  • Ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months upon entering the Philippines.

Venue

The Forum venue is at the Asian Development Bank Headquarters (HQ) located at No. 6 ADB Avenue Mandaluyong City (click to view map).

Access to the Forum Venue (ADB Headquarters)

Please get your Forum badge upon entry:

Upon entering the ADB premises, you will be required to present a valid photo identification (passport, driver's license etc.) to receive the ADB-issued building access ID. This must always be worn while inside ADB premises.

Hospitality Arrangements and Proposed Attire on Day 1

  • Coffee/tea, and snacks will be served in the morning and in the afternoon during the forum. Daily lunches will likewise be served
  • There are several coffee shops (Starbucks, Bo’s, Le Café, Crema, and Grab and Go) located in different areas of the first floor at the ADB HQ which you can go to at your own expense.
  • Participants Reception will be hosted every night after the forum.

Currency

  • Local currency is Philippine Peso (PhP). The exchange rate is $1 = PhP56.00, approximately.
  • Foreign exchange is available at the airport. You may want to exchange a few currencies for your taxi fare.
  • There is also a commercial bank located in ADB HQ – Banco de Oro (BDO) where foreign currency exchange service is provided.

Medical Needs

  • A medical clinic is available at ADB HQ for limited emergency services. Private hospitals are located around 30 minutes from ADB Headquarters.
  • In case needed, medicines can be purchased at Watsons, ADB’s in-house pharmacy, located on the ground floor.

Nearby Restaurants and Sites to Visit

Restaurants are located inside the following shopping malls, time to walk from ADB HQ indicated:
  • Megamall (5 minutes)
  • The Podium (10 minutes)
  • Robinsons Galleria (10 minutes)
  • Shangri-La Plaza (12 minutes)
