Eligible Exhibitors. The following are eligible to send EOIs and be considered for the virtual exhibition and interactive sessions:
- companies, vendors, public or private institutions with credibility in the market;
- small or large companies, vendors, public or private institutions with relevant smart water management products or services;
- companies, vendors, public or private institutions that are willing to work with ADB’s developing member countries to ensure safe, sustainable, smart, inclusive, and resilient water supply services and management;
- companies, vendors, public or private institutions that have already been selected or awarded at similar ADB events; and
- knowledge partners.
Criteria for Screening EOIs. ADB ensures equal and fair opportunity to all applicants. The submitted EOIs will be selected by an ADB Technical Committee based on the following criteria:
- relevance of smart water technologies to safe, sustainable, smart, resilient, and inclusive water supply in rural Asia and the Pacific;
- innovativeness and value addition; and
- operational feasibility and scalability in the rural development context.
Scope of Smart Water Technologies
The smart water technologies are grouped under four general categories or pillars for ease of presentation and grouping into sessions. A few examples for each pillar include but are not limited to:
- Conserving water resources and building resilience
climate change and disaster risk management approaches remote sensing (satellite) for water resource monitoring digital elevation model (DEM) generation | atmospheric water generation early warning systems water resource information nature-based solutions (NBS) pollution removal for healthy oceans water infrastructure optimization bathymetry solid waste solutions
- Managing water and sanitation services
waste and sludge handling simulation software, analytics and online toolkits decentralized water purification desalination and wastewater treatment customer data management water utility operation mobile phone applications meter reading systems water quality testing leakage detection supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) asset management systems | non-revenue water (NRW) irrigation management
- Strengthening enablers for water security
technologies related to improving finance and governance of water capacity-building measures community participation inclusive water and other cross-cutting solutions for water security
- Showcasing partnerships and projects
knowledge partnerships and projects that showcase digitalization tools and best practices
Deadline
The deadline for the submission of EOIs is on 8 September 2021, 11:59 p.m. (Manila time). To facilitate smoother submission of registration/EOIs, exhibitors are requested to prepare the following for upload:
- company logo in vector or eps file format with maximum size of 5MB resolution
- link to a short video introduction to the technology/topic you plan to feature, maximum of 30 seconds with a minimum resolution of at least 720p (1280x720)
- video links of knowledge products and services with minimum resolution of at least 720p (1280x720) and with good audio
- brochures, flyers, photos, presentation documents, other supporting materials related to the proposed smart water products or services (max of 3 documents; maximum size 5MB each)
The organizers target to inform selected ADB's 2nd e-Marketplace exhibitors on or before 22 September 2021 and will email them on the next steps.
Reminders
Please note that due to the limited slots available for the interactive sessions and exhibitors, not all applicants may be selected. The technical committee has the sole discretion to choose the exhibitors and advise the remaining eligible companies to join in future ADB's e-Marketplaces.
The ADB Technical Committee will coordinate with the selected virtual exhibitors. If needed it may modify the exhibitor’s materials to be displayed to comply with ADB guidelines.Contact
