The region is also facing heightened uncertainty due to an increasingly uncertain external environment. While a number of factors contribute to the less benign global environment, none looms larger than the on-going US-PRC trade conflict. Updated ADB analysis indicates that the conflict will impose significant costs on the region's growth although the costs vary substantially from country to country.
