Isabel is an urban sanitation specialist based in the United Kingdom. She focuses on increasing equity and working with governments to develop at-scale and inclusive urban sanitation services, targeting the poor and vulnerable. She has recently worked on assignments in Asia with ADB, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, GIZ, WaterAid, World Bank, and others. From 2005 to 2016, she worked for the World Bank’s Water and Sanitation Program developing pro-poor urban sanitation projects in Indonesia, the Philippines, Viet Nam, and in Pacific Island and South Asia countries. Previously, Isabel worked on sanitation development in Southern Africa and East Africa for the Danish International Development Agency, KfW, UNICEF, and the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development, as well as for NGOs and consulting firms. |
