Asri is the Subcoordinator of Domestic Wastewater and Small-Scale Drainage Planning for the Sanitation Directorate of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing in Indonesia. She has 15 years of working experience with the Ministry, mainly on formulating the strategy and policy, program preparation and implementation, capacity and institutional development, establishing guidelines and regulations, and developing partnerships and networking within the sanitation sector, particularly on wastewater management. Asri works closely with local governments to improve wastewater management in the city or regency level. Additionally, she been involved with the preparation and implementation of major sewerage projects in Indonesia, such as Jakarta Sewerage, Denpasar Sewerage, and the Metropolitan Sanitation Management and Investment Project which covered Makassar, Pekanbaru, Jambi, and Palembang Sewerage. Asri holds a master’s degree on Environmental Studies from Hamburg University of Technology. |
