About the Roundtables

A series of virtual roundtables are being organized jointly by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Development Partners Network for Decentralization and Local Governance (DeLoG), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) from 19 to 22 April 2021. The roundtables will explore key components that contribute to creating an enabling environment for localizing the sustainable development goals (SDGs) 2030 where subnational and local governments are able to contribute meaningfully to the national SDG agenda. These enablers support the principle of ‘leaving no one behind’ and are applicable in various development contexts.

The event will bring together country representatives from the Asia and the Pacific region, civil society representatives, academia, development partners, and subject-matter experts. The roundtable will specifically look at country experiences from Pakistan, Indonesia, Mongolia, Nepal, Kazakhstan, and Philippines.

Who can join?
Professionals, government officials, policy makers, civil society organizations, subject-matter experts, researchers, and academicians interested in economic and social development.
