Masashi TAKETANI is Deputy Director for Environment and Economy Division at the Ministry of the Environment, Japan. Since 2003, Masashi has accumulated extensive experience mainly in the field of climate change, including on climate finance agenda such as Standing Committee on Finance and Adaptation Fund at the UNFCCC secretariat (2012-2015). Currently, Masashi is dealing with how to enhance carbon pricing policies in Japan, closely coordinating with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Finance as well as various types of private sectors.
