Kate joined Macquarie in June 1998. Prior to joining Macquarie, Kate was a solicitor specialising in the energy sector and project finance. Kate has a variety of experience across a number of sectors including infrastructure, utilities and telecommunications in both a corporate advisory capacity and as a principal. Kate’s main focus is now in energy and specifically the energy transition. Kate is currently the Global Head of Energy Principal which requires her to utilise the Macquarie Capital platform to source, structure, execute and manage assets in respect of which Macquarie Capital utilises its balance sheet. More recently Kate has been working to develop a strategy and global team for Macquarie Capital and the Green Investment Group to support the energy transition. This includes overseeing a number of development projects in the hydrogen and green ammonia industry, CCS and renewable fuels generally. Kate also undertakes a variety of governance and leadership functions across the Macquarie Group including sitting on the Global Management Committee of Infrastructure and Energy in Macquarie Capital, being a member of Macquarie Group’s Global Green Committee and a member of the Macquarie Capital WHSE Global Leadership Group.
