Ms Felia Salim is member of the Board of Directors of the Indonesian Eximbank and is chair of the Risk Management Committee; and a member of the audit committee of PT Vale Indonesia tbk. She is deeply engaged in sustainability-climate emergency, land use, food security through her active participation as member of the HSBC Climate Advisory Panel, Board of Directors of the &Green Fund, a blended sustainability financial fund, The Climate and Land Use Alliance (CLUA); the Blue Abadi Fund (BAF), a marine conservation effort in Papua and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN). Through these engagements her work covers Asia, Africa and Latin America. Ms Salim has more than 35 years of experience in the finance and banking. She held notable positions as Managing Director of the Jakarta Stock Exchange; Head of the Financial Sector Policy Committee, Vice Chair of IBRA (the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency) and Vice CEO/Transformation Managing Director of PT Bank Negara Indonesia. She had been instrumental in establishing several key organisations after the fall of Soeharto, such as the Partnership of Governance Reform of Indonesia (Kemitraan); The Transparency International Indonesia and the TIFA Foundation. These organisations covers a wide range of initiatives: from working with communities to active participation in policy change. The work also involved in democratisation of the nation, facilitation of decentralisation efforts and to this day as aggregators, enhancers and conveners of thought leaders in multi-sector governance reform, human rights and climate change/sustainability. She has recently launched ESAS Good Society Transformational Leadership Learning Lab, based on MIT Prof Otto Scharmer’s U Theory, a human capital development initiative with young people from the tai-sector with diverse cultural background and different professional disciplines. |
