Darmawan Prasodjo PhD, currently is the Chief Transformation Officer and the Vice President Director of PT PLN (Persero) with fifteen plus years’ experience, to include serving the Mr. Joko Widodo, as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Staff Office for 5 years.

Dr. Darmawan played a pivotal role during Mr. Joko Widodo’s 2014 election, where he designed strategies in the energy matters. During Mr. Joko Widodo’s campaign in 2019, Dr. Darmawan, again, composed strategies, and developed and ran hologram for presidential campaign.
Of a particular note, Mr. Joko Widodo trusted and assigned Dr. Darmawan to write the Bahasa Indonesia biography of Mr. Joko Widodo.

Dr. Darmawan specializes in energy economy, and responsible for high-level orchestrating as well as setting up strategies to control priority programs. He is a powerful force in the organization and uses his positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard innovate, and succeed. Where his personal philosophy is to serve for others and contribute to society.

Dr Darmawan graduated from Texas A&M University where he completed his Bachelor Degree (with Cum Laude), Masters and his Doctoral Degree prior to his selection by the Government of Indonesia as one of the 25 Brightest Indonesian Students. Further, he completed his Postdoctoral in Duke University where he focuses on Natural Resources and Energy Policy.

Dr. Darmawan is inspired daily by his wife and their 4 children. And, in his free time, he likes to swim, run or go for cycling.
