Staying Resilient Together: How We Grow from Setbacks

Psychological
resilience is known as the ability to move through adversity and bounce back at least as strong as before. Resilience is often misunderstood to be an individual character trait that some of us happen to be born with while others are not. In reality, resilience is not an individual trait in isolation but a trainable skill that ties in closely with the social fabric of our lives. In other words, when wanting to build resilience we depend on our daily social interactions, social support systems and community efforts that are part of our working lives even when working online from home. This talk will give you knowledge, inspiration, and practical tips on how to build resilience at work, both on the individual and the community level. We will bust some unconstructive myths about resilient people that may take a load off your shoulders. We will discuss collective strategies for building resilience in our teams and also try out a few individual self-care practices to support you when working online apart from your colleagues.
