Parents and children are experiencing greater stressors these days with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic around them. Changes and challenges may overwhelm families at this time that distress is felt much sooner. Many feel helpless and hopeless due to inadequate coping skills against daily stressors. The key is resilience. The main ingredient that allows people to experience life ’s ups and downs and have the capacity to bounce back. This talk will increase your awareness and understanding of mental health and how to offer opportunities to yourselves as parents on how to build resilience in your home.

Lissy Puno

A Singapore-based Filipina, Lissy Puno is a Counselling Psychologist with years of extensive experience promoting psychological health and emotional wellness in the United States, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, and now as the founder of the International Counselling & Psychology Centre in Singapore. Lissy offers counselling and psychotherapy across the developmental stages – as well as talks, trainings and workshops.  In the past year, she actively presented a "Care & Wellness Series In The Time of Covid 19" covering relevant topics to the pandemic. 

She facilitates the workshops: "Getting the Love You Want" for couples and the "Connected Parents, Thriving Kids" for parents. She is the author of the following books, Affairs Don't Just Happen: Protect, Repair, Recover (2016) ; Stay Connected (2018), and Couple Goals (2019) promoting relationship wellness and healthy communication. She is a member of the Keynote Women's Speaker - Asia.
