We use our eyes everyday and yet we often take them for granted. And they can get additionally strained as we work from home and face our computer screens.
Tears are necessary for maintaining the health of the front surface of our eyes and for providing clear vision. “Dry eye” is an eye condition in which a person doesn’t have enough quality tears to lubricate and nourish the eyes. People with dry eyes either do not produce enough tears, or their tears are of poor quality.

Dr. Cristina Tan is a graduate of the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health. She finished her residency at the Medical City, Eye and Vision Institute where she is currently doing her fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery. She is also Clinical consultant for the Young Ophthalmologist Program of Oculus Asia.
