Reducing Risks While Working Remotely
|
The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in more employees working remotely – at home and/or other locations outside the office. While it can be beneficial for both employers and employees, this “new normal” triggers and exacerbates various vulnerabilities and risks. To complicate these matters, the transition to remote work also shifted to more personal and professional activities online. This in turn increased incidences of theft on money and personal data. Organizations have gone to great lengths to build and maintain security of physical, virtual, and network environments when working from the office, so what should we do in the COVID-19 era to secure ourselves and work assets when working remotely? This session will focus more on the human side of security, including everyday tips and practices that ADB personnel can employ to reduce their risks when working from home and other remote locations as the pandemic evolves.
