Author/s: Zhigang Li, Utam Sharma, Paul Glewwe, Prashant Loyalka

This study reports latest evidence from a randomized controlled trial (RCT) intervention that assigned education tablets among around 1,000 out of school children (OOSC) across 32 (out of 64) districts in Bangladesh. The selected OOSC received education tablets containing preinstalled math and Bangla subject content, as well as phone-based tutoring service twice per week. Baseline (field), midline (phone-based) and end line (field) surveys were conducted in March 2020 (when the tablets were distributed), December 2020 and September 2021, respectively. Preliminary findings from the surveys will be reported for discussion.
