Proactive integrity reviews (PIRs) play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating risks before they escalate into formal investigations. This session will explore how institutions can prioritize proactive investigations, focusing on what’s worth pursuing and how best to add value through PIRs. Attendees will discuss methodologies for determining the scope and timing of PIRs, how outcomes can trigger or inform future investigations, and the balancing act between integrity control improvements and red flags for investigation. The session will also explore how PIRs can access core investigation data to enhance execution and reporting, and how outcomes are translated into actionable plans that lead to measurable integrity improvements. Practical insights on using technology to deliver better PIR results will also be covered.
