Thursday, 14 November 2024 | 13:45–15:00 (GMT +8)
Multifunction Hall 2
In the digital age, investigations are
increasingly reliant on open-source intelligence (OSINT), AI tools, and digital
forensics to uncover critical information. However, the growing use of these
tools also raises important legal, privacy and ethical questions. This session
will explore how investigators can harness the power of digital tools while
ensuring ethical compliance and maintaining investigative integrity. The
discussion will cover the synergy between ethics, privacy and efficiency, and
how legal considerations intersect with the ethical use of OSINT and AI in
investigations. Participants will examine real-world case studies that
highlight the ethical challenges investigators face in the digital landscape
and discuss strategies to navigate these complexities. |
