Emilio holds a Ph.D. from Rey Juan Carlos University (Information Systems Engineering program), a master’s degree in Decision Systems Engineering from Rey Juan Carlos University, a Bachelor's degree in Applied Statistics, and a Diploma in Statistics from Complutense University of Madrid. He is an Associate Professor at Rey Juan Carlos University, where he joined the High-Performance Research Group in Data Science Fundamentals and Applications in 2020. Previously, he was a professor and researcher at the University of Castilla-La Mancha since 2010, and a statistician/computer scientist in private sector companies for 14 years. He maintains an intense knowledge transfer activity through research, development, and innovation projects with companies and public institutions, including international projects with intensive use of open data, as well as their implementation and deployment in dashboards using open-source software, as well as the deployment of open data platforms.
