Babur is an experienced economist with a growing portfolio in air quality and climate-resilient development. He has worked extensively with ADB to design and implement interventions that integrate low-carbon and just transition strategies into Pakistan’s agricultural and food systems. His work includes developing digital platforms for food security monitoring, designing climate-smart mechanization pilots to reduce crop residue burning, and promoting no-burn technologies that improve soil health while curbing emissions. His contributions support ADB’s Strategy 2030 and align with the Paris Agreement, particularly through projects aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of agriculture, enhancing institutional capacities, and supporting inclusive green transitions.
