Registration for accepted papers for the Asian Economic Development Conference 2026 is now open and will remain available until 20 April 2026, 11:59 PM (UTC+8). The conference will be held in person on 13–14 June 2026 at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, in Hong Kong, China. 

All participants are expected to attend the conference for its full two-day duration. Please note that participants are responsible for covering their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Asian Development Review

Authors of accepted papers may be invited to submit their work for publication in the “Mini Symposium on Selected Papers from AEDC 2026” in the Asian Development Review (ADR), the journal of the Asian Development Bank and Asian Development Bank Institute. Please click here to know more about the journal.

For papers that are invited by the ADR Editor-in-Chief for submission to ADR, Asian Development Bank will cover the roundtrip economy-class airfare to Hong Kong, China (via the most direct and cost-effective route) and hotel accommodation for one presenter at AEDC, as well as subsistence allowance and miscellaneous travel expenses for the duration of the conference. All papers submitted to ADR will undergo the journal’s peer review process, and any revisions requested by referees and editors must be satisfactorily addressed as part of the publication process.

By registering to attend the Asian Economic Development Conference (AEDC) on 13–14 June 2026 in Hong Kong, China, I understand and accept that:

  • ADB and ADBI will not be responsible for any health risk or condition, injury, loss or damage, including but not limited to medical, insurance, travel or quarantine costs, arising from or in any way related to my travel to or within Hong Kong, China and participation in the AEDC.
  • ADB and ADBI, including their personnel, have been granted privileges and immunities under the Agreement Establishing the Asian Development Bank, the Statute establishing the Asian Development Bank Institute, and other relevant international conventions and applicable law.
