A community-rooted leader and third-term MP from Wapenamanda, Hon. Miki Kaeok has advanced from vice-ministerial role in public works to holding two significant national portfolios –Finance and Transport. Currently he is only the Minister for Transport, overseeing Department of Transport, Road Traffic Authority (RTA), National Maritime Safety Authority (NMSA) and National Weather Service (NWS).  His recent focus in on modernizing PNG’s transport systems, enforcing road safety, and expanding infrastructure through international partnerships.
