Chandra Bahadur Gurung is the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport of Bhutan, a role he assumed on January 28, 2024, following the conferment of the Dakyen by His Majesty the King. Before his ministerial appointment, Lyonpo served as Assistant Auditor General for Policy Planning and the Annual Audit Report Division under the Royal Audit Authority. He has over 18 years of civil service experience, beginning as a Senior Auditor in the Royal Audit Authority.

A native of the Lhamoi Dzingkha-Tashiding constituency in Dagana Dzongkhag, Lyonpo holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management and Development from the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Accounts from Sherubtse College, Bhutan.
