Jamie LEATHER is the Director of the Transport Sector Office (SD1-TRA) at the Asian Development Bank, where he oversees the strategic direction of ADB’s transport sector operations, knowledge, and partnerships. With over 30 years of international experience, he has worked with development organizations, governments, the private sector, and research institutions, providing technical, financial, and policy support to advance sustainable and innovative transport solutions.

Jamie joined ADB with extensive expertise in transport planning and engineering, guiding projects across Asia, the Pacific, and beyond. His work has spanned strategic policy development, infrastructure planning, and implementation, with a strong focus on integrating innovation and sustainability into the transport sector.

He holds a Master of Science in Transport Planning and Engineering from the Institute of Transport Studies, University of Leeds, United Kingdom.
