Dr Zhang Tiejun is the Chief Engineer / Deputy General Manager at Beijing Zhongjiaohua’an Technology Co., Ltd (a subdivision of the Research Institute of Highway Ministry of Transport (RIOH), China. He leads the China Road Assessment Program (ChinaRAP) and is a member of the International Road Assessment Program’s Global Technical Committee.

Dr Zhang’s areas of expertise include:

• Road safety policy and management
• In-depth traffic accident analysis
• Road network risk assessment
• Road infrastructure software and equipment development

Dr Zhang’s is currently leading international, national and provincial road safety projects and has published more than 50 technical papers, 6 road safety research books and leads ChinaRAP survey and data management system development.
