Véronique Feypell
Manager, Road Safety Programme at the International Transport Forum, OECD

Véronique Feypell is a civil engineer, having graduated in 1993 from the Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Public (ESTP), in Paris (France). She began her career at the OECD in 1994, with the Road Transport Research Programme.  Since then, she has held different positions within the OECD’s transport sector.

Now Manager of the Road Safety Programme at the International Transport Forum at the OECD, Veronique Feypell is responsible for research projects in the field of road safety and transport infrastructure.

Recently, she has been the administrator in charge of the following research projects:

  • The implementation of the Safe System 
  • Towards Zero: ambitious road safety targets and the Safe System Approach
  • Pedestrian safety, urban space and health
  • Improved safety for motorcycles, scooter and moped riders
  • Long live pavement surfacings
  • Moving freight with better trucks. 

Véronique Feypell is also the project manager of IRTAD, the International Group on Traffic Safety Data and their Analysis. She oversees the wide variety of IRTAD activities, including the IRTAD database which gathers safety data for 33 countries and the annual report on road safety performance.
